How to choose a reflective vest?
With the continuous expansion of the use of reflective vests, the sales brands of reflective vests are also increasing. Faced with a wide variety of styles, how should we choose reflective vests?
1、 Choose reflective materials with high visibility
When it comes to reflective vests, the most important thing is of course the luminous effect. The reflective part of the reflective vest is made using the principle of refractive and high refractive index glass microbeads with refractive index generated by the micro diamond shaped lattice, and is processed through advanced technology after focusing. It can reflect direct light from afar back to the emitting point, and has good anti reflective optical performance both day and night. Especially at night, it can provide high visibility like during the day. Therefore, when choosing a reflective vest, it is necessary to use high visibility reflective materials, which can be easily detected by night drivers whether the wearer is in a distant place or in the presence of light or scattered light interference.
For example, conventional reflective vests are made of high visibility reflective materials (PVC reflective lattice sheets). The reflective material on the vest undergoes strong reflection under external light sources, making it suitable for wearing in outdoor construction, road maintenance, safety warnings, traffic dredging, and other situations. The colors are bright and eye-catching, the reflective performance is good, and the warning effect is good, which can improve the personal safety of workers.
2、 To choose waterproof and breathable fabrics
Due to the fact that most people wearing reflective vests work outdoors and are exposed to wind, sun, rain, and snow, it is best to choose materials that are waterproof, sun resistant, and breathable, and can be suitable for all seasons. At present, most of the products on the market are made of full polyester mesh fabric or 100% full polyester mesh fabric. Choosing breathable and soft vest fabric according to actual needs can make us more comfortable when working outdoors.
Speaking of which, I believe everyone has a brand new understanding of reflective vests. However, not all manufacturers and brands strictly design and produce reflective vests according to national standards. Therefore, some styles of reflective vests may look similar in appearance, but due to the quality, area, and sewing requirements of the base material and reflective material not meeting the standards, they cannot effectively serve as safety warnings. Therefore, when purchasing, one must not buy inferior vests for the sake of cheapness.
